Ocean Sunset Wood & Resin Bookmark - Wavy

I designed this to look like an ocean sunset because the beach is my safe place. I was going for something simple and a little retro, and it was not designed to be filled with color, but it looks so beautiful I couldn't help it (please see the wood finish bookmarks for the original design). This one has more lively ocean waves, I was experimenting. 

I cut the bookmarks from basswood sheets, then I stain the wood in different tones for the variety of color and wood grain highlights. I fill the designs with colorful UV resin, and then give them a final coat of resin so they're extra glossy and robust.

This bookmark has a simple natural blue hemp string tassel, leaving you with the option of adding any tassel you would like.
