Cloud Sunrise Wood & Resin Bookmark - Bright

This is a sunrise over mountain clouds. I colored the clouds green because I thought it would look pretty, and it does! I love the bright and fresh sunrise feel with the natural wood finish.

This gets to be a member of the Failed Art Collection, one side has a few tiny scratches, I don't feel like fixing it, and I think it adds a nice patina. 

I cut the bookmarks from basswood sheets, then I stain the wood in different tones for the variety of color and wood grain highlights. I fill the designs with colorful UV resin, and then give them a final coat of resin so they're extra glossy and robust.

This bookmark has a simple blue hemp string tassel, leaving you with the option of adding any tassel you would like.
